President, Raquel C. Batista 


Raquel C. Batista is an accelerated master's student earning two degrees and one certificate: a B.S. in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication; an accelerated M.S. in Mass Communication - Global Strategic Communications; and a certificate in Professional and Public Writing. She has more than six years of extracurricular and professional experience in a variety of industries, including primary education, retail, hospitality and tourism, non-profit, startups, higher education, and corporate communications. Raquel is known for her empathetic and diligent leadership style. Her most important accomplishment is earning the 2021 Ev Clay/PRSA Miami Endowment Scholarship, proving to her the power of this saying: "If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again." In her spare time, Raquel likes to go for walks, dance, draw and paint. She is currently building the foundation for FIU PRSSA's new executive board, which she hopes will serve the E-Board for years to come. Vice President, Morganne Stephenson

Morganne Stephenson is a student from Jamaica majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Hospitality- Travel and Tourism Management. As a senior at FIU, she spends her time actively participating in multiple clubs and organizations including FIU's BOLD Communications Agency where she is currently gaining experience as an Account Supervisor for an external account. In March 2021, she was selected for the FINN Partners- Partners in Diversity: Internship Preview Program where she eagerly delved into the Hospitality industry with the assistance of a mentor. Morganne also had the privilege of being a Public Relations intern for Sony Music Entertainment during the summer of 2021. After obtaining her degree, Morganne’s goal is to work in the tourism sector of the PR industry and eventually for the Tourism Board of her home country, Jamaica. Outside of extracurricular activities, Morganne’s hobbies include playing badminton, dancing, and playing djembe drums. Tonaj Jonas is a Junior from the twin island nation of Antigua and Barbuda, majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Hospitality- Travel and Tourism Management. She has experience in journalism as a student reporter for the Pasquino newspaper (2018- 2021). She also interned at the Antigua and Barbuda Broadcasting Station in the summer of 2019. Her love for writing motivated her to start a lifestyle blog, focusing on wellness, mental health advocacy, and Caribbean cuisine. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga and watching anime. Chair of Membership, Carri Medina

Carri Medina is a Senior at FIU majoring in Public Relations, Advertising, Applied Communications with a certificate in Social Media & Digital Marketing Analytics. She currently stands as a marketing intern for the FIU Office of Engagement and a Digital Media Committee member for American Marketing Association. Carri is also involved with other leadership roles on campus such as BOLD FIU, as the Director of Public Relations and oversees all social media and event planning for the organization. Her latest accomplishments include being an 2021 Ev Clay scholar recipient and a newly 2022 MAIP Fellow. On her spare time, she is highly into film & TV entertainment and loves traveling to new places around town. Being able to creatively story-tell and collaborate with others is her general passion as she loves to get the job done the authentic way.  She presently serves as Chair of Membership and looks forward to engaging with members!

Isabel Brime is a sophomore majoring in Public Relations with a double minor in Travel and Tourism Management and Visual Production. She is a full time student experienced in event planning, public relations and multimedia production. She takes pride of her skills in planning and organizing as they contribute to making new opportunities through the planning of future PRSSA experiences and projects. Outside of PRSSA, Isabel also teaches Spanish lessons to young kids and helps run the Instagram for Metaverselinks- a decentralized cryptocurrency. Elizabet “Liz” Moreno is a senior earning a B.S. in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication and is expected to graduate May 2022. She has more than five years experience in the Hospitality industry, more specifically in the food and beverage field, as well as, travel and tourism. Elizabet is currently interning at O’Connell and Goldberg PR and is the Account Executive for BOLD and her Senior Capstone. Elizabet is known for her drive, efficiency, reliability and commitment to excellence. Her most noteworthy accomplishment is earning the 2021 Ev Clay/PRSA Miami Endowment Scholarship, she is also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and NSCS Honors Societies and has been on the Dean’s List for 4 consecutive semesters. Denise Gonzalez is a junior at FIU majoring in Public Relations with a minor in English. After obtaining her degree in the Spring of 2023, she hopes to work as a Public Relations Professional in the entertainment industry. Through her education, she has gained a proficiency in graphic design, multimedia production, and creative writing. She has earned a spot on the Dean’s List for 4 consecutive semesters while maintaining a 3.9 GPA. Denise takes pride in her attention to detail and interpersonal skills. In 2020, she helped manage the Instagram account for Vida Chiropractic Miami, which allowed her the experience of working with a brand and organizing posts.
