Q: HOW DID YOU BECOME A PART OF PRSSA?

A: I became a PRSSA member in 2019. After attending all of the meetings for a year and a half I decided to become a part of the e-board.

Q: WHAT OTHER THINGS HAVE YOU DONE THAT HAVE PREPARED YOU FOR YOUR CAREER (INTERNSHIPS, FREELANCING, OTHER JOBS, ETC.)

A: I worked as a digital marketing intern at rbb communications. A PR/Digital Marketing Agency.

Q: HOW DO YOU PLAN TO USE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE GAINED FROM THE BOARD IN THE REAL WORLD?

A: I definitely recommend joining PRSSA, it is a great way to meet people and make connections. PRSSA opens the door to the PR/Digital world for you. You will also attend events and tours.

Q: WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE LOOKING TO BE MORE ACTIVE IN PRSSA?

A: My favorite experience as a PRSSA member was being asked if I wanted to speak about my work experience at the internship panel zoom event. I enjoyed being active and speaking to a lot of students that were interested and had questions about the internship and about Digital marketing.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR CAREER PLAN AFTER GRADUATION?

A: After graduation, I would like to gain knowledge of PR and grow professionally working at a well-known agency in Miami. I believe people learn new things every single day & you never stop learning.

Q: HOW DID YOU OBTAIN YOUR INTERNSHIP?

A: I attended an Intern Meet & Greet hosted by rbb. I reserved my spot, attended the event, and gave out a few of my resume copies to the rbb employees, and applied online the next day.

Q: What was your favorite part of the job?

A: My favorite part of the internship was building connections with people in the office, working together in teams, brainstorming ideas, pitching ideas, and coming out with amazing projects.

Q: Did you feel as though your experience with PRSSA helped prepare you for this internship?  If so, in what way?

A: Yes, PRSSA helped me come out of my comfort zone. Thanks to PRSSA I am able to speak to people in the office and outside of the office while keeping eye contact and not saying the word “Um.”

Q: Would you recommend this internship to other people? Why or why not?

A: I would definitely recommend this internship to someone. You get real hands-on experience & you are treated like everyone else, with respect, and you are included in all of the meetings, project ideas, and conferences.
