Hugo H. Ottolenghi has served as a professor and instructor in the FIU CARTA Department of Communication + Journalism since 2005 and the advisor of FIU PRSSA since 2019. Professor Ottolenghi is an educator for students in the Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication and Global Strategic Communications programs. He developed the course, COM 3714: Fundamentals of Written and Visual Communication; co-developed the master’s degree program in business journalism; and is the advisor of BOLD, FIU’s student-led, faculty-directed integrated communications agency. Outside of FIU, Professor Ottolenghi has been a board member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and committee member of the PRSA Miami chapter since 2019. He serves as a senior consultant to two public relations firms, judge for Simon Rockower Awards, and professional development leader for the American Jewish Press Association.
