Nicole Diaz
President
Nicole Diaz is a senior majoring in Digital Communications and Media Studies with a minor in Social Media and E-Marketing. She hopes to continue her education and earn a master’s degree in Communications. Previously, Nicole interned at a public relations firm, which gave her additional exposure to event planning, marketing, organization skills, and social media. She also has three years of professional experience in retail and human resources at Target. Nicole enjoys learning new skills, meeting new people, and working hard to achieve her goals. Her most significant achievement was earning the Dean’s list for the Spring 2023 semester. Nicole will work hard to remain on the Dean’s list for the rest of her academic career. In Nicole's free time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, watch movies, and go shopping. Nicole plans to open her own public relations firm, hoping to someday expand to an international level. Alina M. Perez
Member of Social Media Committee
Alina M. Perez is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Global Strategic Communications, set to graduate in May 2024. Alina is a two-time Panther, holding a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a focus on Journalism from FIU. With a diverse professional background spanning more than a decade, she has worked in event marketing capacities at esteemed local tech organizations such as Addigy and Quicknode, and the renowned Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, where Alina honed her skills in communications. Currently serving as the Program Director of Outreach and Marketing at Break Through Tech Miami, Alina is committed to driving impactful initiatives in her community. Her most cherished role, however, is being a devoted mother to her son, Jacob, which has inspired her to pursue further education in the fields of communications and marketing, to show him all things you set your mind to are possible no matter the barriers. In her leisure time, Alina enjoys quality moments with her family and cats, Sila and Glowen, embarking on night drives, and catching thrilling movies.
